After working as an irrigation system installer and repairman for several years I took a job with a full-service landscaping company to get more experience in other areas of lawncare and landscaping. The company I worked for did everything from grass cutting to tree trimming, planting, removal, laying SOD, pavers installation and more. I loved the work, but I wasn't happy that the owner would do whatever he could to save himself money. He would even use inferior materials, just to save a few dollars. After a couple of years, I moved on. I don't do shoddy work and I don't want to be judged by the business owner's poor management, cutting corners, and lying to customers. I have too much pride to work with cheap, low-quality materials, or with a boss that takes advantage of people that don't know any better. That's not who I am. In 2016 I started working with a general contractor. We did every type of household installation and repair there is. I got a lot of great experience, and the boss was a decent upstanding guy who ran a great company.

At the end of 20 I decided that it's time to start my own handyman business to serve the Jersey Shore, Ocean County and Monmouth County, and here we are.

I'm Tim Scribner, owner of Ocean County Handyman, LLC in Bayville NJ. In 2019 I decided to work for myself because I knew I could do a better job, with better materials, for less money than my competitors. After about 4 years of starting to work as a freelancer I decided it's time to give my business a name and make it official.
